Tim Morita, Founder at SBI Software

Tim has spent his entire career challenging the more traditional software development concepts and championing simplicity in software.

Tim has enthusiastic visions of simplifying development and streamlining the user experience. Ever since he co-founded SBI in 2000, his vision has helped to shape the very groundwork on which SBI software systems are built.

Every day he challenges his team to create clean, innovative products for SBI customers and users. His unique perspective as a business owner and software developer gives Tim the ability to truly create meaningful business management tools.

Tim earned his degree in Mathematics from Drew University, and out of college, he worked as a construction project manager. Tim’s experience in construction has resulted in a “get it done” attitude. He is not afraid of challenges that appear beyond reach. He is continuously pushing the entire development team towards producing superior results and outperforming products.

One of Tim’s greatest strengths is having the ability to foresee the long-term effects – negative or positive – that a change in software could have on customers and the industry at large. His formal education in Applied Mathematics, experience in construction project management, and over ten years of software development for the green industry has resulted in his unique ability to quickly comprehend and find simple solutions to complex problems.

In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his three children. He enjoys the intensity of competing in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, wakeboarding and mountain snowboarding.
